Circa 1870, rare and unusual Victorian burr walnut dressing mirror. The rectangular mirror has an unusual walnut frame, with a carved top with open fretwork and small heraldic shield in the centre. The supports are elaborately carved and the mirror which is supported on a turned telescopic arm can be adjusted. The top of the base is quarter veneered and below this a small simple drawer with a simple turned knob handle. The drawer is fitted for jewellery. The dressing mirror has a very stylish turned and tapering fluted column and stands on 3 very elaborate carved cabriole legs.
