Stunning Regency Mahogany Card Table – Games Table
This stunning antique Regency mahogany card table / games table ca 1820 has the quality and manner of a ‘Gillows, Lancaster’ piece and has a rectangular top with rounded corners edged with bobbin turned moulding. The top swivels and unfolds to double in size revealing a green baize interior and a concealed games compartment. The table has a deep frieze above an octagonal out swept pedestal again with bobbin turned moulding and the table stands on a quadriform base with four beautiful turned bun feet with brass castors. The table is a rich medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
