Striking Regency Rosewood Antique Tea Table/Card Table/Games Table.
This striking Regency rosewood antique tea/card/games table, circa 1830, has a gorgeously figured top which swivels to reveal a concealed games compartment and then unfolds to become square. Sitting beneath the top is a beautifully scrolled and carved frieze, an attractive feature when the top is folded away and the piece is used more as a side table to display treasured photos. The antique tea table has an octagonal pedestal with a quadriform base and turned feet with porcelain castors. It has some minor marks from age and use but these in no way detract from the stunning overall appearance of the piece. It is a golden rosewood with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
