A rare London made mahogany antique wheel barometer.
The 8" diameter silvered brass scale calibrated from 28" to 31" with usual weather indicators shown and the word Warranted to the lower half of the dial. The dial also with a brass set hand and a blued steel indicator hand. The concave glazed brass bezel with a flat glass. The mahogany case of excellent colour and definition and with double edge ebony and boxwood stringing. The broken architectural top with a central brass finial.
Note: The unusual use of only one dial to this barometer is a rare find. Wheel barometers of this style and period are more commonly see with a thermometer dial.
