Genuine Globe Wernicke Mahogany Antique Bookcase.
This stunning glazed fronted bookcase is a genuine Globe Wernicke antique piece, all the more special being made from Mahogany and dating from around 1900. It has a shaped top above three hinged and sliding glazed doors with small knobs. With the original metal side straps (a sign of authenticity) and standing on a moulded plinth it also has an unusual lower drawer set within the base. The antique bookcase is a rich warm medium mahogany with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
