This was the first joint exhibition with Christopher Clarke Antiques, a specialist in military campaign furniture and travel related items. The Captain’s Kit Bag explored the strong relationship between the military, sport and the British Colonies. It looked at the companies who manufactured both portable furniture and sporting equipment and marketed their goods to both the military and sportsmen. The catalogue had 167 items with colour illustrations over 60 pages.
This catalogue was produced for the exhibition but as with the other publications we have done they are now being used as a valuable reference source.
