A Cizhou bowl of this form, similarly cut through with vertical ribs was included in the exhibition "Charm of Black and White Ware: Transition of Cizhou Type wares, Osaka Municipal Museum of Art, Osaka 2002, cat.no.11

The bowl has deep rounded sides springing from a flat base to a slightly incurved and indented rim and is covered overall with an even straw-white glaze. The exterior is carved through to the brownish body with a band of vertical ribs rising from the foot to a neat line below the rim.
