MATTHEW BOULTON, BIRMINGHAM FRS (1728-1809) Antique Wine Cooler (c. 1800 Sheffield)

A fine quality antique wine bottle cooler in Old Sheffield plate with gadroon and shell borders and highly decorative side handles. To front and back there is a large armorial engraved within an inset silver shield. Underneath there are the double star makers stamps for Matthew Boulton. Height 23 cms. Diameter of top 21 cms.
