Antique Inlaid Edwardian Mahogany Glazed Display Cabinet / Bookcase.
This antique inlaid glazed display cabinet / bookcase is made from mahogany and dates from the Edwardian period, circa 1900. It has a moulded cornice above an inlaid frieze with swags & tails detailing. It has two glazed doors with glazing bars and some tinted panes of glass providing added interest. The doors have a key and working lock. The interior has three fixed shelves with early, possibly original, fabric lining. The antique bookcase stands on squared legs with shaped brackets, it is a medium mahogany with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
