Antique Georgian Mahogany Sideboard (c. 1800 English)

A Georgian mahogany sideboard of unusual small size.

Good. A few minor veneer repairs expected owing to age. Drawer runners repaired expected owing to age and use. Cleaned and waxed.

An unusual Georgian mahogany Sideboard with two central drawers flanked by two concave shaped cupboards. The oak lined drawers and cupboards retain the original wooden knobs and are crossbanded with mahogany and outlined with boxwood stringing. The sideboard standing on tapered reeded legs, terminates in spade feet. The small compact size suggests that is was purposely made to fit an alcove, possibly in a breakfast room.
