Set of 6 Edwardian Mahogany Shield Back Dining Chairs
This beautiful set of six Edwardian mahogany shield back dining chairs ca 1900 are in the Hepplewhite design, have shield shaped backs, pierced back splats and beautiful wheat sheaf carvings. The chairs stand on splayed back legs, tapering front legs and have H stretchers for added stability. The set consists of two carvers, four dining chairs and have their original leather drop in seats (a little worn). The chairs are a rich medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, are in very good condition and have been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
