This stunning antique period George III writing bureau ca 1780 has a moulded fall front. The interior has six small drawers with brass handles, pigeon holes and letter racks. The lower section has four graduating drawers with boxwood stringing, brass swan neck handles and brass key escutcheons. The bureau stands on shaped bracket feet, has a shaped apron, original back boards, is a rich warm red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
