This striking antique Victorian rosewood chiffonier / bookcase / display ca 1840 has a rectangular top above a deep frieze and two unusual shaped frieze drawers. The sides have beautifully turned columns and the piece has two arched glazed cupboard doors with a brass handle, key and working lock. The interior has one fixed shelf and the piece stands on a plain plinth, has original back boards, is a rich medium rosewood colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
