This beautiful antique Edwardian mahogany office roll top desk ca 1900 is of an unusual small size and has a rectangular moulded top with rounded corners above an S shaped tambour roll top with key and working lock. The interior has several letter racks, pigeon holes, a small drawer and pen holders. The lower section has a rectangular top with rounded corners above an oak lined drawer above a knee hole and a single pedestal with pull out writing slide and four graduating oak lined drawers with original brass handles. The desk stands on a plain plinth and the back and sides are panelled and finished, enabling the desk to be positioned anywhere in a room. The piece is a rich medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
