Antique Georgian Mahogany Tallboy – Chest on Chest
This beautiful antique Georgian mahogany tall boy / chest on chest ca 1780 has a moulded cornice with dentil moulding above a deep frieze and two over six graduating cock beaded oak lined drawers with pierced brass pull handles and rococo key escutcheons. The chest stands on beautifully shaped bracket feet, has original back boards, some minor old repairs consistent with age and use and is a medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
