Antique Walnut Desk – Victorian Leather Writing Desk
This stunning antique Victorian walnut writing desk ca 1890 has a rectangular moulded top with a red tooled leather writing insert. The desk has a central mahogany lined drawer above a kneehole and each pedestal has four graduating mahogany lined drawers all with original brass handles (one drawer base is a replacement). The desk stands on a moulded plinth with brown porcelain castors and splits into three sections for ease of removals, the back has been finished enabling the desk to be positioned anywhere in a room. The desk is a rich medium walnut colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
