This beautiful antique Victorian walnut glazed bookcase ca 1895 has a moulded cornice above two glazed doors with moulded edges, key and working lock. The interior has three adjustable shelves. The lower section has a rectangular moulded top above two mahogany lined frieze drawers and two cupboard doors with raised fielded panels and a moulded slam strip (a little chipped). The interior has one removable shelf and the piece stands on a plain plinth, has original art nouveau handles, splits into two sections for ease of removals, is a rich medium walnut colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
